Credit Assessor /Loans Officer – Bank

In this role as a Lending Officer, you will –

  • Be the point of contact for customers regarding their loan.
  • Accurately prepare applications as per policy, ready for submission to credit with all supporting documentation provided.
  • Ensure all contact and requests from members is recorded in a timely, accurate and effective manner.
  • Proactively keep members informed of follow up, submissions and other requests.
  • Support the Credit team  to work through loan applications in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Develop a strong understanding of lending and work towards securing a DLA.

Skills Required:

  • Certificate level course in Financial Services or equivalent.
  • 1 –  2 + years’ experience in dealing with Home Loan customers.
  • Understanding of documentation required for a loan application.
  • Strong focus on customer service.
  • Ability to build rapport with customer’s by asking the right questions.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team-based environment and autonomously.
  • Experience with a Mortgage Broker or Bank in a similar support role essential.
  • Previous Mutual Bank experience and system knowledge desirable.

This is an immediate start role. Ideally suited for anyone with 1 – 2 years’ experience with handling loan applications, collating documentation and preparing  submission for approval. In this role you will work on Home loans, Personal Loans , Motor/ Boat loans, Holiday loans and Credit Cards.
